Recovery Specialist

Program/Location: Women's Addiction Treatment Center (WATC)/ New Bedford

Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

Pay range: $20 per hour

Status: Part time/Per Diem, 16 hours

Shift: Per diem/nights may vary. Weekends are required (Fridays and Saturdays).

3rd Shift (11:00 PM-7:30 AM)

About Us

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Recovery Specialist Duties & Responsibilities

  • Applicants should have knowledge of substance use disorders & mental health conditions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, & boundaries
  • Facilitate & document group discussions
  • Complete client admission documentation
  • Complete property searches, monitor clients while maintaining a therapeutic, safe, & calm unit
  • Observation & accounting of patients at all times insuring while safety (hourly checks w/ documentation) 
  • Escorting patients to meals & fresh air breaks
  • Attends required meetings & mandatory trainings

Recovery Specialist Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent GED
