Recovery Specialist

Program/Location: Transitional Support Services (TSS)/ New Bedford

Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

Pay Range: $22.50 - $26.50 per hour

Status: Part Time (16 hours a week) or Per Diem

Shifts: 3rd shift Sun & Mon Only 11:15pm-7:15AM

About Us

Our Transitional Support Services Programs (TSS) offer co-ed services that bridges the gap between detox and step-down services to residential after-care. 

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Our goal is to help individuals and families achieve personal change and improve their quality of life. 

Recovery Specialist Job Duties  

  • Applicants should have knowledge of substance use disorders & mental health conditions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, & boundaries
  • Facilitate & document groups discussions
  • Complete client admission documentation
  • Complete property searches, monitor clients while maintaining a therapeutic, safe, & calm unit
  • Observation & accounting of patients at all times insuring safety (hourly checks w/ documentation)
  • Escorting patients to meals & fresh air breaks
  • Attends required meetings & mandatory trainings

Recovery Specialist Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent GED
  • This is an awake shift.
