Residential Substance Addiction Facility seeking overnight per diem Staff.

Hours 11pm - 7am

The Recovery Specialist is the person on duty at various times throughout the evening and weekends.  The Recovery Specialist is supervised by the Associate Director and they receive individual supervision with a Clinician or Clinical Supervisor.

They are required to be awake throughout the entire shift and are responsible for monitoring and documenting the events during their shift.

  • Provide crisis intervention, emergency assistance
  • Offer residents in relapse transportation to further treatment if accepted.
  • Administers breathalyzers and collects urine samples as requested
  • Document events of shift in program log.
  • Controlled medication count with the Recovery Specialist from the previous shift.
  • Document medications taken by residents on their shift.
  • Make sure new medications/refills etc. are logged in the medication books
  • At midnight, remove pages from the residents’ Sign-In Book and replace with new pages for the next day.
  • Review the attendance sheet from the medication census/evening room check sheet and seek out those not accounted for.
  • Conduct room checks and wellness checks in their assigned program every two hours (Halfway House, ITP, and Multi-Phase Unit) throughout the night.
  • Overnight Recovery Specialist needs to sign acknowledgement of room checks on bed census throughout the night and document the time of each round in the corresponding program log and overnight census.
  • Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor
