The Director of Outpatient Services is a key member of Link House Inc.’s leadership team who demonstrates leadership through sound clinical judgment and initiative, leading team and program development as well as anticipating and positively responding to staff, organizational and administrative needs or problems.
The Director of Outpatient Services will oversee both the child/adolescent (CATCH) and adult (CBH) programs and be responsible overall for the management of staff as well as financial and administrative operations to ensure a consistently high quality of services. The Director of Outpatient Services has a strategic focus to grow the programs, maintain strong community relationships, and increase revenue.
The Director of Outpatient Services reports directly to the Executive Director.
FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan and implement strategies for successful program continuity and growth of services
- Design and implement new programming to meet the evolving needs of the community
- Collaboration with the Director of Development to increase exposure of the programs, and increase networking and marketing in the community for the purpose of program development and fundraising
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to support high-quality care, clinical and regulatory compliance, quality functions, and client experience.
- Development of the policies and procedures of outpatient services and monitoring implementation
- Management of outpatient staff including recruiting, hiring, orienting, conducting performance evaluations, coaching, ensuring productivity as well as improvement plans as needed
- Facilitation of regular outpatient services team meetings
- Ensure the provision of clinical supervision
- Maintain a staff professional development schedule that meets BSAS, DPH and individual professional licensure needs
- Maintenance of DPH and BSAS licensures and ensure consistent compliance with requirements
- Manage administrative staff and operations including client flow, client satisfaction, EMR administration, billing and insurance practices
- Oversee program budget management
- Develops internship program with regional graduate programs and participates in training/meetings for placement supervisors.
- Build culture and morale among both clinics, fostering a collaborative and positive environment
- Any other duties assigned by management
Supervisory / Management: Direct supervisory responsibilities of Clinical Director, Administrative Staff and Nurse Practitioner
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
- Experience in the field, in a behavioral health outpatient clinic required
- Experience managing an outpatient clinic serving children preferred
- Experience with substance use disorders preferred
- Excellent supervisory, interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to take initiative and problem-solve quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to represent oneself and the agency in a professional manner.
- Experience with a EHR/EMR.
- Proficient in the use of a computer and corresponding programs such as Excel, Word, Teams, and other web-based applications. Solid technology skills and flexibility to learn new or changing systems
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with leadership teams, clinicians, and community stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead a positive team with emphasis on continuing growth and professional development.
- Always maintains the highest levels of confidentiality regarding HIPAA & 42 CFR Part II standards.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings: CORI, Adam Walsh background screen and drug screen
Environment and Physical Requirements
- This position must by physically present in the clinic to oversee the professional services.
- While the majority of the time will be in a clinic setting, there may be occasional work outside of the clinic, such as in a local school.
- Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move throughout the clinic
