Pay Range: $115,000-$130,000 Annually

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

 

Position Summary:

Tapestry is on a mission to provide vital, effective, and inclusive community health services and resources for optimal well-being and vibrant communities. We are seeking a dynamic Director of Clinical Services to oversee and elevate the operation of our clinical programs. The Director will ensure our services are high quality, client-oriented, and cost-effective while fostering teamwork and integration with agency-wide initiatives. This role supervision of our licensed clinical staff, and the day-to-day implementation of innovative healthcare solutions. The Director will also maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, ensuring the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical Operations:

•  Oversee clinical operations at all clinics.

•  Provide direction and supervision of licensed clinicians in SRH.

•  Ensure high clinic performance through selection, mentoring, coaching, performance management, and discipline, fostering teamwork and integration with agency-wide initiatives and goals.

•  Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, Title X, DPH, and HIPAA guidelines. Maintain confidentiality for all patient information, including state boards of medicine and nursing, pharmacy boards, CLIA standards for moderate complexity labs, OSHA, CMS, 340B, DEA, MSCR, MDPH, as well as other state and federal laws and funding program requirements such as MDPH-SRH and Title X.

• Maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders and ensure clear expectations and consistent communication with staff.

•  Oversee utilization of Tapestry’s electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and operational functionality.

•  Monitor and analyze clinical performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.

Program Management:

•  Administer and report on the MDPH-SRH Program annual work plan. Ensure timely submission of federal, state, and funder data and reports.

•  Implement and evaluate medical standards and update protocols, policies, procedures, and patient education materials in collaboration with the Medical Director.

•  Keep abreast of local issues and developments that could impact Tapestry.

•  Assist Medical Director and direct reports to ensure adherence to clinical protocols and policies.

•  Participate in donor and fundraising events.

Quality/Compliance:

•  Ensure Tapestry meets or exceeds regulatory and accreditation standards. Maintain knowledge of corporate compliance requirements and related laws and regulations.

•  Conduct audits and investigations, prepare reports and implement corrective action plans as needed.

•  Lead development, surveillance, and enforcement of infection prevention and control protocols.

•  Update Medical Protocols.

•  Prepare for accreditation surveys and site visits by regulatory agencies, maintaining compliance with all oversight bodies and regulatory programs.

•  Maintain incident reports and develop improvement plans related to non-compliance and adverse events.

Staff Management:

• Manage a team of clinicians, providing direct supervision, coaching, support, and mentoring.

•  Oversee clinical care with Medical Director provided by licensed staff, ensuring optimal service delivery and quality outcomes.

•  Coordinate clinicians' scheduling and time off, and conduct performance reviews.

•  Along with Medical Director, develop and implement continuous professional development programs for clinical staff.

•  Foster a culture of transparency and communication within SRH and other Tapestry Programs teams.

• In partnership with Medical Director, attend regular Clinician meetings and trainings to ensure ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices.

External Relations:

•  Represent Tapestry externally, strengthening existing and forging new partnerships to expand and improve clinical services.

•  Engage with community organizations and stakeholders to promote Tapestry’s mission and services.

Clinical Care:

•  Potentially deliver clinical care to patients when necessary to uphold the organization’s mission to provide services without barriers.

•  Stay updated on the latest medical research and integrate evidence-based practices into clinical protocols.

Experience/Skill Requirements:

•  A comprehensive understanding of structural racism and the mechanisms of oppression that lead to health disparities within our communities.

•  At least five years of healthcare management experience, especially in sexual and reproductive health.

•  Massachusetts licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse, Certified Nurse Midwife, and/or Physician’s Assistant or NP.

•  Experience in supervising staff at various levels and developing and maintaining budgets.

•  Knowledge of public health policies, health insurance issues, and EHR systems.

•  Strong computer, analytical, written, oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team with diverse populations.

•  Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

•  Master’s Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management, or a relevant field.

•  Experience in services such as abortion, ultrasound, and gender-affirming care.

•  Management experience in a Title X program.

•  Experience with strategic planning and healthcare policy development.

•  Familiarity with integrating new medical technologies and practices.

Working Conditions:

•  Based at Tapestry’s Administrative Office in Springfield, MA with travel to other sites.

•  Ability to sit at a desk, enter data into a computer, communicate on the phone, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

If approved, these loan repayment plans can provide up to $60,000 in loan forgiveness.
