The North Cottage Program is a 4 to 6 month residential program for substance use treatment. We are licensed by the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services for the Department of Public Health, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Open Sky Community Services offers dynamic and supportive internship opportunities for students across a wide range of educational levels and degree tracks. We host interns from undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs in fields such as social work, psychology, counseling, human services, occupational therapy, public health, and related disciplines. Our internships provide hands-on learning, high-quality supervision, and meaningful participation in multidisciplinary teams serving individuals with complex behavioral health needs.
For students interested in substance use treatment and recovery, Open Sky provides rich experiential opportunities within our substance use programs, including outpatient counseling, integrated dual-diagnosis services, and recovery support programs. Interns gain exposure to evidence-based practices, harm-reduction approaches, care coordination, and team-based treatment models.
