Project Build Up - Problem Gambling Services Workforce Initiative
We are excited to announce the launch of Project Build Up (PBU) 2.0 applications. Applications will be due on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Funding is available for up to 20 Massachusetts-based organizations to receive up to $50,000 each, over two years. PBU 2.0 is a statewide capacity-building program designed to improve access to treatment and enhance workforce development. The funding will support activities that aim to increase the capacity for community-based organizations and service providers to promote and provide problem gambling treatment services in Massachusetts by enhancing workforce development.
Who Can Apply
Applicant organizations must be based in Massachusetts, and fit into one of the following categories:
- Existing Problem Gambling Treatment Providers: Community-based organizations and treatment service providers already offering problem gambling treatment to target populations, including Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS) outpatient substance use treatment programs.
- New Providers Committed to Treatment Services: Community-based organizations and treatment service providers that serve target populations and plan to begin offering outpatient treatment services by the end of the grant period.
- Referral and Workforce Capacity-Building Partner: Community-based organizations that do not currently provide treatment services but have established, or will be establishing, a partnership with a therapeutic or clinical treatment provider.
