the VIRTUAL: How to Find, Test, and Implement Solutions to Common Agency Problems: An Introduction to Process Improvement (581)

Event description
Funded by BSAS
Yes

This six hour training is designed to go from identifying process problems to developing, testing and implementing solutions. We alternate among theory, examples of Massachusetts provider’s solutions, and application of the strategies in small break out rooms. All of the key elements of improvement are covered: Collaborative roles, studying the problem, developing solutions from people close to the problem, and then testing and implementing those solutions. Process improvement has proven effectiveness for problems like reducing no shows and increasing low group attendance. The same principles work with complicated problems such as assembling a workable after care transition plan by Friday! The model of change we use was developed through Network for the Improvement of Addiction Treatment. This training welcomes early career staff, as well as managers, supervisors and support staff who may lend critical experience to a change team.
