Trauma-Informed Supervision: Using What We Know About Trauma to Better Supervise Staff

Event description
Funded by BSAS
Yes

Over the past 20 years, many organizations have implemented trauma-informed services for clients. However, trauma impacts staff as well as clients, and a trauma-informed approach to supervision is less common and often less explicit. This training explores the application of a trauma-informed lens to the supervisory relationship, as well as tools to manage the most common challenges of supervision. Participants in this training will be able to identify the impact of trauma on their staff, integrate the principles of trauma-informed care into supervision, improve their ability to give and receive feedback, and take a strengths-based approach to supervision.
