Supporting Perinatal People in Recovery: A Window of Opportunity

Event description
Sponsored by BSAS
Yes

Providers working in the field of substance use treatment will gain knowledge on the unique and complex perinatal period. This training will explore and provide increased clarity on intersecting factors impacting pregnant and postpartum people such as stigma, medication assisted treatment, and harm reduction strategies. Additional guidance on best practices will be discussed in areas of treatment planning, Family Care Plan (Plan of Safe Care) development, supporting self-advocacy in clients, and DCF involvement. We know this period in a person’s life to be a window of both vulnerability and opportunity. We look forward to you joining as we use a trauma-informed stance to draw back the curtain on the perinatal treatment experience.

We will be applying for SW, MH, and LADC CEUs for this training.
