Overview:

Join us for an exciting exploration of the fascinating world of psychedelics and their potential for healing and change. Psychedelics have been used safely for thousands of years in various cultures, and now cutting-edge science is helping us understand their bio-chemical, psychological, and spiritual effects. In this course, we will explore the therapeutic potential of popular psychedelics such as psilocybin, MDMA, and ketamine, as well as the potential risks associated with their use outside of clinical settings.

As mental health professionals, it’s important for us to stay informed about the evolving research and policy around psychedelics. This course will equip you with the knowledge you need to support your clients who use or are interested in using psychedelics outside of therapy. You’ll learn about current legal avenues for clients to explore psychedelics, as well as harm reduction and integration strategies to help your clients safely and effectively incorporate these substances into their lives. Join us and discover the past, present, and potential future of psychedelics as agents of change and healing.

Objectives:

  • Identify three potential harms to using psychedelics and ways to reduce those harms.
  • Practice three integration techniques you can use with clients who are using psychedelics.
