Description: A trauma-informed environment is one where everyone feels safe and welcomed. The way supervisors interact with those they supervise impacts the overall environment and the individuals they serve. Supervision should exemplify the qualities of a healthy, empowering relationship, allowing staff to grow, reflect, and build healthy connections. In this training, we will explore the principles of trauma-informed supervision, discuss and practice how to apply them.

1. Describe three principles of trauma-informed supervision 

2. Describe ways to assess supervisor and supervisee trauma-informed skills

3. Demonstrate at least two trauma-informed supervisory skills
