As part of the twice-monthly MA OBAT ECHO® series, this session will discuss the role of family in addiction treatment. We will learn how family members impacted by substance use disorder (SUD) experience stigma, explain how education and information provided to family members can impact outcomes, and review practices that can be used to integrate family members into the care of people with SUD. The didactic will be followed by a de-identified patient case presentation from an ECHO® participant and recommendations from the panel of experts and attendees.
