If have been wanted to tackle stuck points in your program or organization but don’t have time to attend a 9-3 training, join us for lunch, to learn and then apply rapid cycle improvement to an organizational challenge of your choice. All sessions begin with what you need to know and then move to break out rooms with trainers who will guide you to apply the theory.

Using techniques developed by the Network for the Improvement of Addiction Treatment (NIATx), participants identify a target problem, develop solutions, plan and implement a short pilot test to determine if the change is an improvement.  If you are a supervisor, manager or soon will be, join others in finding low cost innovations that matter to quality treatment.

The sessions work as a mini collaborative, benefitting all from the wealth of efforts: Weekly focus: 1) Principles of selecting a problem worth solving, that answers the why bother question. 2) Using qualitative and simple quantitative data from the walk through and informal focus groups to fish diagrams and sticky notes for process flow through. 3) Low-cost tools for Solutions: How to tap the genius of group think to find solutions and engage staff. 4) How to draft a PDSA to test your improvement efforts using simple data. 5) How to develop a pilot testing group staff who to pilot test a change. 6) Problem solving improvement efforts and their glitches. 7) How to pitch your improvement effort in 5 slides and 5 minutes. 8) Analysis and presentation of results.
