Staff working with people who are actively using substances and/or are experiencing homelessness need to be equipped to work with individuals who also experience mental health challenges. This training builds on participants’ experiences and insights, explores the common challenges of working with this population, and provides practical education and framing for responses beyond simply “referring to a clinician”. At the end of the training, participants will feel more confident in responding to mental health challenges and will have a foundational understanding of Harm Reduction Strategies.
