Description: Successful outcomes between and client and staff depend on the quality of the professional relationship. As staff members, we are challenged to be supportive, empathetic, and understanding while maintaining a professional relationship with our clients. In this training we will explore these questions in order to better establish healthy boundaries for ourselves and those we serve.
Learner Outcomes: Upon completion of Level 4, participants will have the tools to:
- Define the concept of professional boundaries
- Discuss health boundaries and why they matter
- Identify boundary violations and their impact
- Discuss ways to minimize the risk of boundary violation
