Happy Recovery Month!

In September, we celebrate and support recovery community, promote substance addiction services, recognize there is hope, acknowledge the resilience of the individuals, families, and communities we serve, and honor the dedication of providers, public servants and leaders who are committed to making recovery possible for ALL.

Family, Friends, and Allies are welcomed and encouraged to celebrate this month with the Recovery Community!

There are many ways for you to support Recovery Month! Below, you'll find information about how you can:

  • Support Recovery Month by raising awareness, sharing information or volunteering at events
  • Engage with the recovery community at events across MA
  • Learn about the recovery movement, lived experiences and pathways through presentations, movie screenings, and more
  • Explore and spread the word about BSAS Recovery Services and Supports

Whatever ways you choose to support Recovery Month, please know it matters and has impact. BSAS's Recovery Support Services' vision is a Recovery Supportive Commonwealth, but that is only achievable when everyone, not just those in recovery, show support. Each act demonstrated takes power away from the damaging stigma and discrimination experienced, helps those in the process to heal and feel less alone, and lets those struggling with substance use challenges see that if they ever seek recovery, people care and there is a community of support waiting for them.

We do not recover alone…but TOGETHER WE CAN.
