Job Description

General Description: The IPAEP Case Manager provides direct services to group participants, survivors/victims and community collaborators. This program works collaboratively with FCR staff, Probation Departments, Department of Children and Families and the community at large in holding adult perpetrators accountable for abusive and controlling behaviors and providing education to effect change. This is a full-time, 35-hour-per-week position. including one day per week in the Hyannis Office.

 

Title: Case Management, IPAEP, Brockton, Cape and Islands

 

Reports to: Coordinator, IPAEP

 

Responsibilities:

                                                                     

  • Support day-to-day Program functioning and structure as assigned in Brockton and Hyannis sites
  • Provide direct services to clients accessing IPAEP services
  • Facilitate weekly strong Father’s Program
  • Maintain weekly updated client files, data base.
  • Maintain data base and all DPH/client/agency paperwork as assigned in  a timely manner
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of office and materials
  • Maintain valid certification in CPR and First Aid
  • Attend related trainings and community meetings as directed by Program Director.
  • General office duties: taking/ returning telephone calls, record of all verbal and non-verbal communication; filing/faxing/scanning
  • Attend and participate in weekly supervision
  • All other duties as assigned by Program Director

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s and two years’ experience in related field or four years of experience working with individuals who use coercive control in their relationships.
  • Knowledge of issues related to Domestic Violence and addiction
  • Must be DPH IPAEP certified or successfully complete requirements within 3 months of hire
  • Knowledge of issues including, but not limited to, confidentiality, duty to warn, mandatory abuse reporting and the Civil/Criminal Justice System
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people (e.g. race, ethnicity, age, class, sexual preference).
  • Must possess excellent judgment and interpersonal skills and work effectively both as a member of a team and independently. 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to assimilate information and communicate with various community partners and clients.
  • Must possess critical thinking skills and be flexible within their workday
  • Ability to use Microsoft word/ excel; data entry skills
  • Must have valid MA Driver’s license, clean driving record
  • All other duties as assigned by Program Director

 

Hours: This position is full-time for 35 hours per week; some evening work may be required for program coverage and to meet the needs of our clients. Eligible for 1 remote workday per week after six months of employment with a positive review.

Salary Range: $24-$26 per hour based on experience. Additional compensation for language capacity

$500 sign-on bonus to be paid after six months of employment with a positive review.
