Despite the absence of a cure, HIV/AIDS remains a chronic condition that can be managed through advancements in treatment options and improved access to quality healthcare. As a result, the number of people diagnosed with the disease in the United States has decreased.
The objective of this course is to equip mental health clinicians with the knowledge and resources to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS comprehensively. This includes educating them on prevention strategies, dispelling myths, reducing stigma, understanding and implementing best practices, and providing support to clients and patients.
