This training is designed to increase recognition of gender and sexual orientation bias and foster inclusive practices to promote a safe, equitable, and supportive work environment for people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming. Participants will identify the promoters and inhibitors of LGBTQ+ equity and inclusion in the workplace.

● Data on homophobia and transphobia
● LGBTQ+ discrimination in employment
● Cisgender & heterosexual privilege
● Pitfalls to avoid when advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion
● Case studies for examination
● LGBTQ+-inclusive policies and practices
● Creating a workplace transition plan
● Responding to microaggressions
● Supporting those who have been targeted
● Calling-in Template to address those who have caused harm
● Unlearning anti-LGBTQ+ bias
● Allyship and partnership

● Explain the reason for sharing personal pronouns
● Identify at least 4 appropriate terms for discussing gender and sexual orientation identities
● Identify at least 4 examples of cisgender and heterosexual privilege in the workplace
● Identify examples of anti-LGBTQ harassment in the workplace
● Identify at least 4 ways that microaggressions may impact LGBTQ people in the workplace
