Spectrum Health Systems’ ECHO series focuses on strengthening evidence-based MOUD implementation in correctional settings, addressing logistical and systemic barriers, and fostering collaboration across correctional healthcare teams.

This month's didactic: MAT Programs in High-Turnover Jails

  • Identify strategies for timely admission and induction of patients in high-turnover settings, including medication initiation without delay.
  • Explain how collaboration among clinical, security, and other departments within high-turnover jails can enhance patient care during transitions to and from the community. 
  • Describe inter-agency coordination strategies to support patient reentry from high-turnover jails, including courts, community health centers, and programs providing transitional, clinical, or long-term residential services. 

This ECHO series is supported by the New England Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC), a federally funded organization that provides training, technical assistance, and resources to support the workforce in the field of substance use treatment and recovery across the six New England states. Its mission is to accelerate the adoption and implementation of evidence-based practices and improve the quality of addiction services.
