Building on the foundations from Part 1, this 90-minute session moves beyond awareness into practical application. Through case scenarios, small-group reflection, and facilitated dialogue, participants will learn how to integrate culturally responsive approaches into client engagement, assessment, intervention, and supervision. The session will also address strategies for navigating difficult conversations, overcoming systemic barriers, and developing an actionable plan to sustain racial trauma-informed practice.

Learning Objectives

1. Apply racial trauma-informed principles to real-world case examples in forensic and treatment settings.

2. Demonstrate strategies for engaging clients in conversations about racial trauma that promote trust, safety, and dignity.

3. Integrate culturally responsive practices into assessment, intervention, and supervision processes.

4. Develop approaches for addressing organizational or systemic barriers to racial equity in justice and treatment contexts.
