This training is being offered two different days - you DO NOT have to register for both trainings.
Thursday, May 14, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM OR Friday, May 15, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Description: The overall training goals and objectives are to introduce stakeholders to Medicated-Assisted Treatment (MAT) which is “the use of FDA-approved medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a ‘whole-patient’ approach to the treatment of substance use disorders” for those working in Native American communities. The presentation will address lines of tension in substance abuse services between Euro-American treatments and treatments for American Indian/Alaska Natives using an indigenous approach known as “Two-Eyed Seeing.” The objective is to discuss the acceptability of MAT in Native communities and potentially improve access and adoption of MAT.
The evaluation will be emailed to you upon completion of the training. In order to receive your CEUs please email the evaluation back to Emelie@adcare-educational.org within 2 weeks of the training.
