Family Support in a Home Visiting Context

The Department of Public Health’s Massachusetts Home Visiting Initiative is sponsoring a five day training led by the Children’s Trust to prepare people who provide family support particularly in a home visiting context.
This five day, in-depth training introduces participants to foundational concepts in home visiting including infant mental health, strength based orientation, trauma informed practice and the Strengthening Families Protective Factors. It offers both a broad theoretical background and applied skills building.

- Sharing information
- Supporting positive parent-child interactions
- Supporting fathers, mothers, and co-parents
- Strategies to address difficult situations and promote healthy family functioning.
