This curriculum developed by CCAR  is designed as an advanced, next-level, training that will help you build your skills and deepen your understanding of the recovery coaching foundational principles. This advanced training will enhance your prior learning and discovery.

Participants in this course will learn to:

  1. Define recovery coach mastery
  2. Explore what it means to actively listen and why it is an essential coaching skill
  3. Learn how to practice active listening through mindfulness
  4. Understand what is meant by asking good questions and how to interview a recoveree to motivate and support their identified recovery pathway
  5. Demonstrate the art of crafting “good questions” that prompt meaningful conversations and promote connection
  6. Discover what is meant by “stuff” to acknowledge biases that can influence the coaching relationship
  7. Understand the power of emotional intelligence in the coaching relationship
  8. Identify when our “stuff” clouds our performance
  9. Apply the foundational principles of recovery coaching to real examples/scenarios
  10. Set individual professional development goals to improve one’s art of recovery coaching practice
