Training Description:

This course is based upon the foundation that all individuals behave and respond from a family context. Some have no current contact with family members but the impact of the family's effect upon them continues.

In the case when family members are still engaged with the client, they often have a significant impact upon the client's success and struggles in the future as well as with their engagement in the process of change.

This course focuses upon developing engagement strategies within a family context; how to assess potential barriers within the family dynamics and structure; how to educate families regarding their ability to assist the client in changing, and how to utilize the stages of change to assist the individuals within the entire family unit in investing in the change process
