Presently, 1 out of 5 adults in the United States experiences some form of Mental Health challenge. About a quarter of those individuals also experience challenges with substance use. Recovery Coaches come across individuals with such experiences on a daily basis. Seeking to understand a person’s experience and using strength based language is vital in order to have the ability to effectively support people in Mental Health and Addiction Recovery.
