This training is designed to provide participants with hands-on practical experience in providing trauma-informed care through interactive activities and problem-focused case examples. This training provides participants with practical experience in implementing interventions and techniques introduced in the Introduction to Trauma Informed Care training. The focus of this training is on reflective practice and skills-building. Participants will learn how to implement grounding and self-soothing techniques, ways to improve present-moment awareness, strategies for preventing and managing crises in the workplace, as well as strategies for developing resiliency and preventing secondary trauma.

Objectives:
At the end of this training participants will be able to:
1. Demonstrate the ability to use effective grounding techniques
2. Demonstrate the ability to use effective self-soothing techniques
3. Demonstrate the ability to use strengths-based, emotionally validating redirection
4. Demonstrate the ability to identify triggers and coping strategies
5. Demonstrate the ability to use techniques to increase emotional and physical awareness
