Eligible areas or sites include federally designated Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSA), other high need areas, and Community Health Centers (CHCs) and other eligible health care organizations.

Eligible health professionals must be licensed to practice in Massachusetts and include: dentists and dental hygienists, mental and behavioral health care providers (includes substance use disorder), nurse practitioners, psychologists, pharmacists, physician assistants, physicians including psychiatrists, registered nurses. Health professionals must be willing to practice for at least two years in the underserved area.

Applications are accepted beginning March 1st through September 15th  and awards will be announced by January 15, annually.
