The Botvin LifeSkills Training (LST) Leadership Webinar is a complimentary 30-minute session for Superintendents interested in addressing meaningful topics such as increasing social/emotional skills in the classroom; ensuring that youth are ready to learn; and preventing alcohol and other substance use. Superintendents and Principals across MA have promoted the Botvin LST Middle School health curriculum and have sent their teachers to be trained in this highly effective program. We are now encouraging Superintendents to send their teachers and staff to a one-day training targeting elementary school students in grades 3 – 5. It is supported by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and all curriculum materials are supplied by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. This informative webinar will provide you with the tools to engage administrators, teachers, nurses, and other school-based personnel. The skills taught in the Botvin LifeSkills Training program can have a profound and positive impact on educational outcomes, violence, as well as reducing alcohol and other drug use.
