Event description
  • Strength-based job training
  • For young adults in recovery from mental health challenges and/or substance abuse
  • Preparation for Peer Mentor careers
  • Hosted at the YARN in Dorchester

This training helps you find which skills and supports you need in order to be a Peer Mentor. It can help you decide if being a Peer Mentor is right for you.

Each person comes into the world with the ability and desire to make a certain kind of contribution to the world around him/her. Find your strengths through a rigorous process. Topics include goal setting, identifying and obtaining the right job match, developing a resume, creating a cover letter, interviewing and job hunting skills and more!

This training is sponsored by the Department of Mental Health (DMH) and Department of Public Health Bureau of Substance Abuse Services (BSAS) at no cost.
